Philip G. Cabaud is returning to the insurance industry as CEO of Greenhill after the sale of the highly successful Mid-Continent General Agency. While President & Owner of MCGA, Philip was also Managing Director of Healthcare for Myron Steves and a member of the board of directors for Financial Casualty & Surety, a Myron Steves company.
In 1999 Philip joined Mid-Continent as Associate Director, where he was in charge of underwriting and insurance company operations until he was promoted to Managing Director in 2001.
In 2003, Philip founded Healthcare Providers Insurance Company in cooperation with the Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA), a company that writes hospital and physicians professional liability insurance for MHA members.
In 2004, he formed a captive insurance company for the locum tenens industry in the Cayman Islands. Philip’s insurance experience prior to joining Mid-Continent includes underwriting medical professional liability insurance, directors and officers liability insurance, managed care errors and omissions insurance and lead underwriter and developer of a line of medical professional liability products.
Philip has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
